Your hosts Geoff and Lesley Parsons bought Les Chalardes in 2003 with the idea to use it as a base from which to explore Europe by motorcycle.  In 2004 they got involved with renovating the derelict farmhouse, which they eventually completed in 2012








Geoff and Lesley met in 1990.  In 1992 Geoff took voluntary redundancy from BT having worked for the company for twenty six years, the last ten as a broadcast engineer.   As Lesley had just sold her business in the motor trade, they left Rye, Sussex in 1993 to sail their yacht Starshine, spending three years in the Mediterranean, crossing the Bay of Biscay on the outward passage and returning via the Canal du Midi.  A round trip of some 8000 miles,

Now that the major work is complete Geoff and Lesley spend their time running a clay pigeon shoot which  guests are welcome to attend, and spend time fly fishing the many splendid rivers in the area.
